14.4 Disposing of the Instrument
The instrument uses a lithium battery as a backup for its clock.
When disposing the instrument, remove the lithium battery and dispose the battery and instrument
in accordance with local regulations.
WARNING
Toavoidelectricshock,turnOFFthemainpowerswitchanddisconnectthe
powercordandmeasurementcablesbeforeremovingthelithiumbattery.
RemovingtheLithiumBattery
Required tools:
• One Phillips screwdriver (No.1)
• One pair of tweezers (to remove the lithium battery)

Verifythatthepowertotheinstrumentis
OFFandunplugthepowercord,andany
other cords or cables.

Removethesixscrewsfromthesides.

Remove the cover.

Insertthetipofthetweezersbetweenthe
batteryandthebatteryholderasshown
inthepictureandliftuponthebatteryto
remove it.
CAUTION
Exercise care not to short the positive
and negative terminals. Doing so may
cause sparks.
