PV Insulation Resistance Measurement Function (IR5051 Only)
This section describes the insulation resistance measurement between a PV panel
and ground using the method not to short-circuit between P-N.
See “9.7 Measurement Methods for Insulation Resistance of PV Array” (p. 125).
This instrument measures PV module insulation resistance in accordance with the
IEC/EN 62446-1 guidelines.
Measurement preparations

In the connection box, turn o the main switch and disconnect the
connection to the power conditioner.

Turn o the disconnectors for all PV strings.

Disconnect any lightning arresters on the measurement circuit.
For the case in the following diagram (solar power generation facility), the
lightning arrester does not need to be disconnected because it is not on the PV
string side of the disconnector.
