8.2 Projector Management using SNMP
The SNMP Simple Network Management Protocol) enables to manage the
projector information, which is a failure or warning status, from the computer on
the network.
It is recommended that SNMP functions are executed by a network
administrator.
SNMP management software must be installed on the computer to monitor
the projector Yia SNMP.
NOTE
Standard MIB (MIB-2)
You can refer to the following items de¿ned in system group of Standard MI%
MI%-2).
Item Description
sysName Projector name is set.
sys/ocation The information on where it is located. It has character string
set in sys/ocation SNMP) in Projector Web Control - [Network
Settings] - [Common Setup].
sysContact The information on the administrator's contact information. It
has character string set in sysContact SNMP) in Projector
Web Control - [Network Settings] - [Common Setup].
Enhanced MIB
You can get con¿guration information by using Enhanced MI% for projectors.
Enhanced MI% for projectors can be downloaded from [Port Settings] page in
Projector Web Control.
Trap
When an error or warning occurs in the projector, a noti¿cation can be sent to the
speci¿ed address.
In addition to e-mail alert shown in 8.1 E-mail Alerts

Item Description
Cold Start When the projector is supplied with the power, it works as
below.
If the STAND%Y MODE is set to the NORMA/: the projector's
power status changes from “OFF” to “Standby state”.
If the STAND%Y MODE is set to the NETWORKWO/) or
SA9IN*: the projector's power status changes from “Standby
state” to “ON lamp is turned on)”.

Authentication Failure The SNMP access is detected from the inYalid SNMP
