2.1 Power Supply System Structure
When DC power supplies are directly input to the ATN 950B, the two PIU boards form 1+1 hot
backups. When the EPS30-4815AF external AC power supply system provides power supplies
to the ATN 950B, it converts two AC power supplies into two DC power supplies, and outputs
the two DC power supplies to the two PIU boards. The two DC power supplies form 1+1 hot
backups.
Figure 2-1 shows the DC power supply structure. Through the backplane, two -48 V or -60 V
power supplies are sent to the CXP and PIC. The CXP and PIC combine power supplies and the
combined power supply provides power to them. In addition, the CXP converts -48 V or -60 V
power supplies into 12 V power supplies to provide power to the FAN.

Figure 2-2 shows the AC power supply structure. The EPS30-4815AF converts external AC
power supplies into DC power supplies and provides power supplies to the ATN 950B.
