Step 2 Set the login parameters.
The parameters are described as follows:
● Host name: Enter the IP address of the server to be connected. For example,
192.168.2.10.
● Port number: The default value is 22.
● User name: Enter the username. For example, admin123.
● Password: Enter the password. For example, admin123.
● Private key
le: This parameter is left blank by default. Retain the default
value.
● Protocol: Retain the default option SFTP in the File protocol drop-down list,
and select Allow SCP fallback.
Step 3 Click Login.
The WinSCP
le transfer window is displayed.
NO TE
● If a private key le is not selected at the rst login, the warning message "Continue
connecting and add host key to cache" is displayed. Click Yes. The WinSCP le transfer
window is displayed.
● On Windows 7, C:\Users\Administrator\Documents on the local PC is opened in the
left pane, and /root on the server is opened in the right pane by default.
Step 4 In the left and right panes, create, delete, or copy folders in specic directories as
required.
