Handling Procedure Quick Recovery Method
The
chassis of
a blade
server or
high-
density
server
has
power
but a
compute
node or
server
node
does not.
1. Remove the compute node or
server node, and check whether
its power connector is
damaged.
If yes, replace the compute
node or server node
mainboard or replace the
chassis.
If no, go to 2.
2. Do not install the faulty
compute node or server node
into a server again. Install a
spare component when
available.
1. Remove the faulty compute
node or server node. Check
whether other compute
nodes or server nodes work
properly. (Do not install the
node into a server again.)
If yes, services are not
aected.
If no, contact Huawei
technical support.
2. Follow the handling
procedure to replace any
faulty modules.
5.6.2 KVM Login Faults
1. Diagnose the fault based on the fault symptoms listed in the following table.
NO TE
If a fault can be located using logs or tools, see "Handling Procedure". If a fault
needs to be rectied quickly onsite, see "Quick Recovery Method".
For more fault symptoms and solutions, see the Computing Case Library. The
Computing Case Library is available only to Huawei engineers and partners.
2. If the KVM connection is abnormal, you are advised to use Independent
Remote Console for login.
