Procedure
Step 1 Remove the disk.
● You do not need to power o the server when removing a disk module.
● Determine the location of the disk module to be replaced before the operation.
1. Push the spring that fastens the disk ejector lever. See step (1) in Figure
7-111.
The ejector lever automatically ejects.

2. Hold the ejector lever, and pull out the disk for about 3 cm (1.18 in.). See step
(2) in Figure 7-111. Wait for at least 30 seconds until the disk stops working.
Then remove the disk from the quorum server. See step (3) in Figure 7-111.
– Wait for at least 30 seconds until the disk module stops working and remove it.
– If a disk module is frequently removed and inserted in an interval shorter than 30
seconds, there are risks that the disk module cannot be
identied.
3. Place the removed disk in an ESD bag.
Step 2 Install the disk.
1. Take the spare part out of its ESD bag.
2. Fully raise the ejector lever and push the spare part into the chassis along the
guide rails until it does not move. See step (1) in Figure 7-112.
