Compress the spring with a wide screwdriver and
press it down with your thumb. See Figure 9.

Fit the cover over the brake spring and screw the
screws back in place. See Figure 3 ”Dismantling
the chain brake”.

Tighten the chain brake by using the saw’s front
hand guard as a tool. Align the front section of the
clutch cover with the front hand guard. Then pull
the front hand guard back to disengage the brake.

• Guide bar.
• Saw chain.
