When replacing the fuel lter, the old fuel lter must
be taken out of the tank unit using the
special 502 50 83-01 tool.

Pull out the fuel hose, A, from the tank unit so that
the fuel lter, B, can be removed. See gure 69.

Fit the new fuel lter and ret the fuel hose with
lter in the tank unit.
7.20 Replacing the suction hose/return
hose

Dismantle the lter cover and the air lter.

Unsnap the return hose and the suction hose from
the fuel pump and the carburettor and the tank
unit. Replace hoses if necessary.
NOTE!
Fluted pliers may not be used with the fuel
hose. They can cause material damage
resulting in damage to the fuel hose.

Unsnap the suction hose and return hose from the
fuel pump.

Loosen the screws and remove the fuel pump. See
Figure 70.

Press in the hooks to unsnap the fuel pump from
the fuel pump attachment. See Figure 70.

Fit the new fuel pump to the attachment. See
Figure 71.
5
Ret the fuel pump holder to the tank unit and
screw back the screws in place. See Figure 70.
Attach the suction hose and return hose to the
fuel pump.
