Installation
Before you begin
Before you begin installation, make sure to:
Read, understand, and follow all of the safety instructions that are in this manual, the Safety
and Compliance Manual (80669C), the Radio Frequency Warning Manual (80945C),
and
a
ffixed to the cutting system. Failure to follow safety instructions can result in personal inju
ry
or equipment damage.
Get all necessary reference documents. Refer to Document requirements on page 39.
Consider the following requirements about where to position system components:
Site requirements on page 60
Length requirements for hoses, cables, and leads on page 60
Bend radius requirements for hoses, cables, and leads on page 61
Distance requirements between high-frequency leads and control cables on page 62
Distance requirements for ventilation and access on page 62
Distance requirements for communications on page 63
Review the Installation checklist on page 74.
This plasma system can make more than the permitted acoustical noise levels as defined by national
and local codes. Always put on correct ear protection when cutting or gouging. Any acoustical
noise measurements taken are related to the specific environment in which the system is used.
