7. Slide the backplane retention release tab forward and slightly lift the hard disk
drive backplane carrier to disconnect the cables from the rear of the 1.8-inch
backplane and cage assembly.

8. Disconnect the signal cable and power and configuration cables from the
backplane.
9. Slide the backplane retention release tab forward and pull the solid state drive
backplane cage assembly out of the server.

10. If you are instructed to return the solid state drive backplane cage assembly,
follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for
shipping that are supplied to you.
