Short-circuit and wire-break detection
The diagnostic bits are only valid when the outputs are designed as ”readbacj outputs”.
A short circuit can only be detected when the unit is switched on, wire break only when the unit is
switched off.
The outputs Q14 - Q17 can only be checked when no PWM function is active.
The bits NEW and OLD enable the edge detection of an error.
