Figure 31: 9-22mm lens
Due to the thickness of the vandal-resistant dome bubble, there may be some loss of focus
when the dome bubble is fitted over a camera lens assembly that has already been focused.
If this occurs, the focus needs to be adjusted to compensate for the dome bubble.
To correct the focus, either:
• Focus the sensor on the desired scene, then move the focus fractionally towards the
“near” position. Replace the dome bubble and check the focus. Continue making minor
adjustments until focus is achieved with the dome bubble fitted.
Or
• Hold the bubble in front of the lens while adjusting the focus. Replace the dome bubble
to confirm the focus.

Low temperature start-up
The Environmental Vandal Resistant variant is designed to operate at temperatures down to -
30°C. However, if the ambient temperature inside the camera is less than -10°C when the
camera electronics are initially powered up, unexpected performance and reduced video
quality may be experienced until the heater increases the ambient temperature inside the
camera.
The table below details the “warm-up” time required to guarantee optimum performance and
video quality at different ambient temperatures.
