SNMP Configuration
Enable — Check this box to enable SNMP access to the device. By default, this setting is
enabled.
Community Strings — If SNMP is enabled, the following entries allow the SNMP
Community Strings to be configured:
• Public — Enter the public string for SNMP Community Configuration.
• Private — Enter the private string for SNMP Community Configuration.
NetworkSecurity Configuration
Password — Enter a password for the device. This must contain between 1 and 16
alphanumeric characters.
After you have set a password, you may change it, but you may not remove it altogether. If
you forget the password, use the serial port configuration menu to remove password
restrictions and set a new one.
IP Access Restrictions
Enable IP Address Restrictions — Select this box to enable network security restrictions.
Addresses Allowed — This contains all IP addresses with authorization to access this
device, and must include the address of the PC used to configure the device.
Select an address and click Remove to delete it from the list. You can use shift-click to select
several addresses to be removed.
Add Address — Enter an IP address and click Add to add it to the list of authorized
addresses.
Remote Access
Concurrent SSH Sessions — Select the number of concurrent users that can have remote
SSH access.
Concurrent Telnet Sessions — Select the number of concurrent users that can have
remote Telnet access. Select 0 to disable Telnet access.
Concurrent FTP Sessions — Select the number of concurrent users that can have FTP
access. Select 0 to disable FTP access.
For Bulk Upgrade support in Control Center at least one FTP session must be selected.
HTTPSConfiguration
Use these settings to configure the HTTPS settings. However, you can only configure
HTTPS settings when HTTPS is disabled. Disable HTTPS before changing these settings.
Mode — Select to enable device configuration using HTTP and HTTPS. You must select at
least one option.
