50 User Guide - v7
Left-click a block to detect motion in that block. The block is shown in full color, and
the red border changes to surround the area that is detecting motion.
To select more than one block, left-click and drag the pointer over the blocks to detect.
When you have specified which areas you want to observe and ignore, click Submit.
Grid Clear to hide the ROI grid if it is excessively obscuring the image.
Parameter setting tabs
The parameter setting tabs are below the Region of Interest editor. The tabs available depend
on the filter selected. Use these tabs to define the parameters for the selected filter.
Size Allows you to ignore objects outside a certain size range. The values refer to blocks
in the Region of Interest editor. For example, you can filter out small insignificant motion,
such as flashing LEDs, only allowing the detection of larger objects, such as human
movement.
Sensitivity Controls the sensitivity level of the filter’s detection. For example, for the
motion filter, the lower the sensitivity the less likely small amounts of motion in the ROI will
trigger a false alarm. A value of zero means that no activity will be detected, whereas a value
of 100 means the detection will be extremely sensitive to any type of activity.
Tripwire Select a single or dual tripwire. The tripwires are displayed in the Region of
Interest editor. Right-click and drag the red square at each end of the tripwire to position it.
Alternatively, click and hold anywhere on the line to re-position the whole line.
OR: any one tripwire 'trip' causes an event.
AND: all tripwires must be 'tripped' to cause an event.
Ordered: An event will only be generated if the tripwires are 'tripped' in sequence, that
means tripwire 1 followed by tripwire 2.
Direction Defines the direction of motion that will trigger an event. Select the required
option from the list on the right. A circle and arrow are displayed in the Region of Interest
editor. Left-click and drag the red square at the end of the arrow to define direction of motion.
Left-click and drag the red square at the center of the circle to move the circle so that it
doesn't obscure detail within the scene.
The colored segment of the circle shows that not only motion in the direction of the arrow is
accepted but also in these broader directions.
The directions specified apply to the whole ROI scene and cannot be linked to individual
areas within the scene.
Persistence This is the duration over which filter detection must persist in order for an
event to be generated. The range is 0 to 60 seconds.
Rearm The Min and Max rearm times can be used to stop multiple events from the same
incident. When used:
No further events will be generated before the Min time has expired.
The event will always be rearmed after Max time has expired.
Between the Min and Max times the system will intelligently rearm event generation
based on filter configuration and scene content.
Events Select if you want to generate Analytics Events from the chosen filter.
You can additionally choose to generate binary outputs.
