2-3.1 Scale-up policy
 All the drive slots of the new enclosure have to be loaded with disks.
 All the nodes in a cluster must be connected to the same form factor of expansion enclosures.
 Before connecting an additional expansion enclosure to an existing storage node, you must set the ID
knob on the expansion enclosure. Each expansion enclosure must be configured with a different ID.
 Please follow the power on policy: power on the expansion enclosure/s first and then power on the GS
unit.
2-3.2 Scale-up Step
1. Set the Expansion Enclosure ID, the first expansion enclosure ID must be set to 1, the second
expansion enclosure ID must be set to 2, and so on.
2. Install the new expansion enclosure to the rack, make sure that the SAS cable is long enough to
connect between chassis.
3. Connect the SAS cable
 Connect GS onboard SAS IN port to the OUT port on the expansion enclosure.
 Connect expansion enclosure (1) SAS IN port to the OUT port on the expansion enclosure (2).
