7 PROTOCOLS AND INTERFACING
7.1 Introduction
The NV9 Spectral supports standard industry protocols. Interfaces that are not listed
may be available upon request. For any queries regarding interfaces that are not
listed contact support@innovative-technology.com.
The use of an encrypted protocol
(preferable eSSP) is strongly
recommended to achieve the
highest security!
7.2 SSP and eSSP
7.2.1 General Description

Secure Protocol (SSP) and Encrypted Smiley
®
Secure Protocol (eSSP) are
field proven secure interfaces specifically designed by Innovative Technology Ltd. to
address the problems by cash handling systems in gaming machines. Problems such
as acceptor swapping, re-programming and line tapping are all addressed. This
interface is recommended for all new designs. Innovative Technology Ltd. provides
full SDK packages upon request including Interface Specification, Implementation
Guide as well as source code examples.
