4.8.5 Rotary chair reclined position error (applicable for Orion/System 2000 reclining chair)
If the Orion Reclining or System 2000 Reclining chair is reclined during a rotary chair test, the software will
present an error message (Figure 4.8-5) to the operator. The operator can resume rotary chair testing by
setting the chair upright and restarting the test.
Chair is reclined or powered off. Set the chair to an upright
position and check that chair is powered.

4.8.6 Booth door open error (applicable for Orion AT/C chair)
If the Orion Auto Traverse or Orion Comprehensive chair’s booth enclosure has the door opened before or
during testing, the software will display the following message (Figure 4.8-6) that the door must be closed to
resume testing.
Booth door is open. Close the door to continue testing.

4.8.7 Patient safety switch error (applicable for Orion AT/C chair)
If the patient pushes the abort switch provided with Orion A/C chairs, the software will display the following
message (Figure 4.8-7) and stop the rotational chair, laser and drum hardware. The test can be restarted
after the operator has addressed patient concerns.

4.8.8 Chair control board error (applicable for Orion AT/C chair)
If the Orion AT/C chair’s USB cable disconnects during the test, the chair, laser and OKN drum will turn off
and gradually come to a stop. The software will present the following error message (Figure 4.8-8) to the
operator. Reconnect the USB cable from the chair to resume testing. This error condition will also happen if
there is no power to the chair base.
Chair control board not detected. Please check configuration
and cable connections then try again.

4.8.9 Watchdog timeout error (applicable for Orion AT/C chair)
If the system with an Orion AT/C chair stops responding, the Emergency Stop circuit will activate and the
chair, laser and OKN drum will turn off and gradually come to a stop. Following, the operator shall exit the
test or go to home screen and restarting the test will reset the watchdog timer. This will be indicated with the
E-Stop lights up again.
