2. Remove battery cover
with a small screwdriver.
3. Connect battery pack lead
to connector on left.
4. Replace battery cover and
screw.
Note: The battery wire cannot be under the battery or the cover will not fit properly.
Note: The battery is not designed as a long-term power source. Plugging in the battery
should be followed quickly with the plugging in of the DC power supply.
Install Cellular Radio
If the ZeroWire Cellular Radio installation is planned it should be done before plugging in
the main DC power cord. Refer to the ZeroWire Cellular Radio installation Manual for
details.
1. Check the radio signal strength (see "3G Cellular Radio Setup" on page 26).
2. Ensure the Signal Strength is -87 to -51 dbm.

3. If it is too low, move the unit to the location with better signal or install an external
antenna.
Install ZeroWire on Wall
1. Install the bracket on a wall by using the supplied screws. Make sure the power lead
can reach the ZeroWire when plugged in to a power source.
