Belt Splicing System v.2.0
Shim for Belt Top Surface
(Vertical) Alignment
If the Cut Guide thumb knobs have been
adjusted, but one belt top surface is higher than
the other, shim with Painters’ tape.
If top surface alignment is intermittent, see
TROUGHING GROOVES SPECIFICS on page
13-1. If splicing S8126, see S8126 BELT SPE-
CIFICS on page 14-1.
Shim the Grooved Deck on the lower side using
these steps.
1. Cut a length of tape wider than the belt
width.
2. Center the tape on the Grooved Deck next to
the first groove so it extends past the Deck edge
and press it in place.
