Start / Soft Stop Control Buttons
START
When the “START” button is pressed, the chiller will
begin the start sequence. The chiller is only in this con-
dition momentarily as the operator attempts to locally
start the unit. The unit will begin the start sequence
only if all fault conditions are cleared.
SOFT STOP
When the “SOFT STOP” button is pressed, the chiller
will begin a controlled shutdown. This guarantees that
manual intervention has taken place and the shutdown
has been acknowledged.
RESET
The “RESET” button must be pressed following a safe-
ty shutdown to enable the chiller to restart.
Overview
The graphical display on each control panel allows a
wide variety of information to be presented to the user.
Each screen description in this document will begin
with a section entitled “Overview” which will describe
the graphical elements on the screen and give a short
CONTROL PANEL DISPLAY OVERVIEW
The Red Lion display (Figure 10 on Page 21) is high-
lighted by a 10.4” 32k color VGA touch-screen graphic
display. The touch-screen buttons are resistive analog.
Eight membrane buttons are located on the left side of
the panel, three of which are functional (programmed
for on-screen system menus) as shown in Figure 10.
The Start / Soft Stop / Reset Controls are touch-
screen buttons that controls the operation of the chiller.
When the “Start” button is pressed it will activate a
start command for the chiller. The “Soft Stop” but-
ton will activate a soft stop command for the chiller.
The “Reset” button will clear any chiller overrides for
which the condition has been released.
