SECTION 3 - YKEP CONTROL PANEL OPERATION
Leaving Chilled Liquid Temp
Displays the temperature of the chilled liquid as it
leaves the evaporator (provided by RTD TE-100).
Economizer Pressure
Displays the current Economizer refrigerant pressure
(provided by transducer PE-116).
Economizer Liquid Temperature
Displays the current Economizer liquid temperature
(provided by RTD TE-113).
Subcooler Liquid Temperature
Displays the current subcooler liquid temperature (pro-
vided by RTD TE-114).
Chilled Liquid Setpoint
Displays the active Chilled Liquid Setpoint.
Economizer Setpoint
Economizer Target
Displays the target temperature for the saturation tem-
perature in the economizer vessel to which the control
system is controlling the economizer capacity in any
operating mode.
OVERVIEW
This screen displays the pertinent parameters associat-
ed with the Economizer Capacity Control in relation to
economizer saturation temperature, and leaving chilled
liquid temperature in boost mode, and demand limit
and anit-surge overrides. This screen also provides a
means for a Service Technician to control the Econo-
mizer Compressor mode.
The Economizer compressor will be automatically
brought online and dropped offline as the chiller operat-
ing needs dictate. If the chiller requires more capacity,
the economizer will be brought online to assist with add-
ed gas compression and an improved cycle efficiency.
If the chiller is unloaded, the available gas to the econo-
mizer compressor is reduced. The vanes may close on the
economizer compressor, when they do it will be dropped
offline until the chiller requries additional capacity.
DISPLAY ONLY
Economizer Motor Run (LED)
Illuminates when the digital output from the control
center is commanding the Economizer Motor to run.
