Install a Flexible PIC Concentrator in the ACX7348 Router
To install an FPC in the ACX7348 router chassis:
1. Place an anstac bag or an anstac mat on a at, stable surface.
2. Wrap and fasten one end of the ESD grounding strap around your bare wrist, and connect the other
end of the strap to an ESD point on the chassis. An ESD point is located on the front of the ACX7348
router (see Figure 74 on page 121).
3. Either remove the failing FPC (see Figure 75 on page 122) or, if an FPC blank is installed, turn the
thumb screws counter-clockwise on the handles on the blank and gently pull the blank out of the slot
(see Figure 76 on page 123).

4. Remove the FPC from the anstac bag, and inspect it for any damage before installing it in the
chassis.
5. Li the FPC by the handle with one hand, and support the lower edge with the other hand.
6. Gently slide the FPC into the open slot unl the ejector handles engage and start to close.
7. Using both hands, push the lower end of both the ejector handles unl they latch to seat the FPC
(see Figure 77 on page 124).
