Record a vacation fir an important event in S-second clips to keep the action moving. The S-Second
functJrln may also be activated during Full Auto operation. But the _!hJLe Bal_mce rem_fins in the previously
adjusted c_,ldition. While tile S-Second mode is activated, Fade/Wipe (:T* pg. _3), P.AE/Effects (:T* pg. 39)
and other manual operations cannot be perl(_rmed.
Display
Dissolves during 5 second mode recording
Select "SSD" at tile System Menu (_-T_ pg. 32).
"SSD MODE" appears in step 2 below.
Record one S-second clip, and the image at
the end of the clip is stored. If you record the
next clip within 5 minutes, tile previous
scene dissolves as the new scene appears.
If you turn tile power off, tile stored image
will be lost.
SELECTOPERATION MODE
Turn the Power Dial to "SS" while pressing
down :he lock button lock,ted on the dial.
PULLOUT VIEWEINDER
Pull out tile viewfinder fully. "SS MODE"
appears.
ENGAGE 5S MODE
Then press START/STOP. The tally lamp lights
and beep sounds to indicate tile start of
recording, and after 5 seconds the camcorder
enters Record-Standby mode.
If you press and hold START/STOP within
5 seconds after recording starts, Record-
Standby mode is not engaged.

END 5-SECOND MODE RECORDING
Set tile Power Dial to tile "Q", "_" or "OFF"
position.
To Take A Snapshot In The 5-Second Mode...
.... instead of pressing START/STOP in step 3, press
SNAPSHOT. The camcrlrder records a 6-second
still (_T_ pg. 26). When "SCENE" is set to
"ANIM." ('_ / pg. 32), this function is not
available.
NOTE:
When "SCENE" is set to "ANIM." in the System
Merlu, the _-secorld recording turlctiorl is not
aw_ibble. Animation recordin_ of a 1/8-second clip
is taken instead (_ / pg,. 32).
