SCENE (5=Second Mode) (_ pg. 24)
5S Pressing START/STOP allows you to take a 5-
second "clip". Press repeatedly for a succession of
short recordings.
5SD If you record a 5-second clip within 5 minutes
after the previous fine, the end of tile old scene
dissolves and is replaced by the new scene over a
2-second period.
ANiM. (Animation) Each time you press START/
STOP, a 1/8-second recording is tal<en. By using an
inanimate object and changing its position between
shots, you car/ record the subject as though it's
movi ng.
° Animation is not awdlab/e in tile LP mode, If you
tried t_>record in the LP mode after setting ANIM.,
the rdcording mode indicator "LP" begins to blink,
and recording goes on in the SP mode,
NOTE:
During use of S(ENE effect, k_cus (_ / pg: 41) and
ex_o_ure contr_;I W / pg. 42) enter Full Auto> operation,
BEEP/TALLY
The beep sounds when the power is turned on or
off, and at tile heginning and end of recording.
Tally lamp lights up during recording.
ON To activate the beep and tally lamp.
OFF To turn off the beep and tally lamp.
WIND CUT
When activated, this mrlde helpscut down on nrlise
created by wind.
ON When shooting in high winds, set to "ON" to
reduce noise.
"_%" appears.
The quality of the sound will change. This is normal.
OFF This function is disabled.
NOTE:
The Wind Cut In_d_ is disabled during Full Aut_
operation,
SOUND MODE
Sound signals can be sampled at _2 kHz or 48 kHz.
32 kHz This setting enables recording of stereo
SOLIIhd Ol] four separate channels, and is recom-
mended for use when i>erforming Audit! Dubbing.
48 kHz This setting enables recording of stereo
SOLII]d on t'vvr) separate channels.
NOTE:
A tape recorded at 48 kHz cann_4 be used f_;r
Audio Dubbing.
DEMO. MODE (Demonstration Mode)
This setting demonstrates certain functions such as
RAE/Effects (_z_ pg. 40), etc., and car/be used to
confirm how these functions operate. When the
camcorder is turned off, "DEMO. MODE" is set to
"OFF".
NOTE:
Ira tape is in tile camcordel; tile Derek* in_*dd
cannot be turned on.
