Length of Cut and Drum Speeds with CLAAS
Forage Harvester 930-980 (Types 494, 497,
and 498)
Preselect length of cut on forage harvester
The coarse setting for length of cut is preselected using
switch (A) on the forage harvester. (See forage harvester
Operator's Manual.)
2-speed gear box
The two-speed gear box of the rotary harvesting unit is
available in three versions:
•
Speed increase for normal length of cut (standard)
•
Speed reduction for long length of cut in combination
with a cutterhead with 36 knives (option)
•
Speed reduction for short length of cut (option)
