Migrating Automatically to the Site Providing Better Radio
Environment (Site Roaming)
Site Roaming is the function that automatically switches the channel to a site (channel) that provides a better radio
environment when the transceiver is used under the DMR Conventional system.
The transceiver receives a synchronization signal transmitted from the repeaters in multiple sites at regular time intervals,
and detects the RSSI level. Therefore, the transceiver migrates automatically to the channel providing better radio
environment.
Up to a maximum of 16 sites can be configured for KENWOOD’s repeaters. It is therefore recommended that the Site
Roaming system be used by a maximum number of 16 channels.
