HOOD
Opening the hood
1. Pull
the release lever to unlatch the
hood. The hood should pop open
slightly.
WARNING
Open the hood after turning off the
v
ehicle on a flat surface, shifting the
shift lever to the P(Park) position for
dual clutch transmission and setting
the parking brake.
2. Go
to the front of the vehicle, raise
the hood slightly, push the secon‐
dary latch (1) up side and lift the
hood (2).
3. Pull out the stay rod.
4. Hold the hood opened with the stay
rod (1).
WARNING
• Grasp the stay rod in the area
wrapped
in rubber. The rubber will
help prevent you from being
burned by hot metal when the en‐
gine is hot.
• The stay rod must be inserted
c
ompletely into the hole provided
whenever you inspect the motor
compartment. This will prevent
the hood from falling and possibly
injuring you.
