The SRSCM continually monitors all
elements whilst the ignition switch
or ENGINE START/STOP button is
ON to determine if a frontal, near-
frontal impact or side impact is
severe enough to require air bag
deployment or pre-tensioner seat
belt deployment.
The SRS air bag warning light on the
instrument panel will illuminate for
about 6 seconds after the ignition
switch or ENGINE START/STOP but
-
ton is turned to the ON position,
after which the air bag warning light
should go out.
If any of the following conditions
occurs, this indicates a malfunction
of the SRS. In this case, have the
system inspected by a professional
workshop. Kia recommends to visit
an authorised Kia dealer/service
partner.
䳜 The light does not turn on briefly
when you turn the ignition ON.
䳜 The light stays on after illuminat

䳜 The light comes on whilst the
vehicle is in motion.
䳜 The light blinks when the ignition
switch or ENGINE START/STOP
button is in ON position.
