TACHOMETER
The tachometer shows engine speed
in RPM's (Revolutions Per Minute)
as indicated by the arm of the me-
ter. Note the place on the tachometer
which marks the speed in first gear
of the Power Take Off (PTO). When
the engine is running at the indicat-
ed RPM's of the PTO mark, the PTO
shaft will turn at 540 RPM's.
When the key switch is turned ON,
the preheating lamp illuminates, and
when the preheating is completed, it
is automatically turned off.

HOUR METER
Below the tachometer is the hour
meter which indicates the total hours
of engine operation. It is used for de-
termining service intervals. (Refer to
the Maintenance section of this man-
ual).
