1.9. Battery functions
When a battery unit is used on a UniDrive
TM
, several setting can be made; to select the action carried out at line
power failure.
When a battery pack is used, the function mains power failure is only Open and is automatically selected.
1.9.1. Power fail action
Only battery pack: Is switched off when the door reaches its open position or after maximum 30 sec..
In the event of a power-failure the following actions can be selected with battery unit:
Function Action at power failure Remarks
Open The door will open and stay open
Close and lock The door will close, if no other open command prevents its
from doing so, and when it reaches the closed position, the
locking device (if present) will be activated and the door will
lock.
When a locking device is
used, that locks with no
power, extra care should
be taken to prevent people
from locked in, or out
Low speed
The UniDrive
TM
will be operational until the battery is
exhausted .To reduce power consumption, all movements are
carried out at low speed.
The final movement is
selected by Battery empty
action.
Normal speed
The UniDrive
TM
will be operational until the battery is empty.
All movements will be carried out at the programmed speed.
The final movement is
selected by Battery empty
action
Close, manual, user
timer
The door will close, if no other open command prevents its
from doing so, and when it reaches the closed position, the
motor-driver is switched off, and the door can be opened by
hand. When the door is opened by hand, the user timer will
start counting down, and when counted to zero, the door will
close again. During closing cycle, Inside, Outside and
photocells are checked.
Energy safe mode.
The UniDrive
TM
will be operational until the battery is empty.
When the Closed mode is selected, the UniDrive
TM
will be
switched off completely to reduce power consumption even
more. The UniDrive
TM
can be re-activated by use of the NS-
Input.
The final movement is
selected by Battery empty
action
