KONE UniDrive
TM
service manual vs 9 28
2.3. Software selections
In addition to the above-mentioned settings, several selections can be made, to adjust the UniDrive
TM
control box
to the situation in which it is used.
2.3.1. Toilet mode
The UniDrive
TM
is programmed on this function for use in toilets entrees. The door will open on a OUTSIDE
signal. And stays on open position (t in display). The door will close on an INSIDE command or after the
photocells are inactive (after passing). OUTSIDE and a locking device are inactive. The programmable output
function is set to “toilet occupied ” (if programmed and connected).
The door will re-open after INSIDE command and closes after the photocell is inactive or after 25 sec.
2.3.2. Motor type
With this function the connected motor type for the UniDrive
TM
must be programmed and start up again.
(Warning: Inputs may not be activated during motor programming, otherwise programming is not possible)
Changing motor-type can only be accepted when PGS mode Open is selected, to prevent dangerous movement
when selecting the incorrect motor-type. (Programming is only allowed for trained engineers).
Attention: PGS is manually switched over to “open ” position. For usable motor types see § 2.6: Motor types
2.3.3. Buzzer off (vs 1.35)
This function enables switching off the error buzzer. In case of an error, the error is signalled by flashing display
and PGS only, no error sound is produced. Default: ON
2.3.4. Close (DIN18650 – vs 1.35)
Default = OFF. When this function is switched ON, the door will close with a lower speed and will be switched to
Low Speed on an earlier position to meet the requirements of the DIN18650 (prEN12650) on dynamic closing
force limitations. Risk analysis can tell if this function should be switched on
2.3.5. Open (DIN 18650 – vs 1.35)
Default = OFF. When this function is switched ON, the door will open with a lower speed and will be switched to
Low Speed on an earlier position to meet the requirements of the DIN18650 (prEN12650) on dynamic opening
force limitations. Risk analysis can tell if this function should be switched on
2.3.6. Programmable input FC-Like Tested (vs 1.35)
This input behaviour is equal to FC_Like, however this input can be used with tested safety sensors
Connection diagrams: Chapter 1.3.8
2.3.7. Function KeepClosed (vs 1.35)
Default = OFF This function will keep the door closed with a small motor current, and will
prevent the door from opening by hand easily by increasing the closing force when the door is moved.
Position on witch the door will react on EasyCome is increased when this function is switched on.
2.3.8. Function Close at Error (vs 1.35)
This input function is equal to the PGS function Close At Error.
When this function is activated (and kept activated), the door will close at low speed and all other inputs but Porter
(or NS-Porter mode) will be ignored. With this function a door in almost any error mode can be closed.
When the door reached is closed position, the PGS will be forced into the Closed mode. Only Porter (NS-Porter
mode) will open the door when the input is activated. As a consequence on this an error in any input as Porter and
NS-Porter mode will overrule this function.
2.3.9. Reset Service counter without PSION (vs 1.35)
With this function it is possible to reset the service counter without using a PSION programmer. The following
steps should be taken: Switch PGS to OPEN, when the door is open, Press LearnMode button (on the connection
board) for more than 5 seconds. A beep of the buzzer will signal the reset of the counter back to 0.
