KONE UniDrive
TM
service manual vs 9 20
2.2. Function descriptions
2.2.1. Locking devices
When an electrical lock is required, two locking outputs are available.
Locking devices are connected to” Lock coil” and “Unlock coil” outputs.
Feedback of the physical lock state is connected to the “Lock state Feedback” input.
Powerless locked, powerless unlocked, bipolar and bistable-locking devices can be used. (§ 1.4 dipswitch setting).
Jumper 12/24V can change the default 24V output with boost to connect 12V locking devices.
(No capacitors on the coils allowed!)
When no lock-feedback switch is used, a hardware link between “Lock coil”, “Unlock coil” and “Lock state
feedback” must be carried out. (§ 1.3.9).
From version 1.11: When the default time for locking or unlocking is to short, the unlock time is programmable
by psion. For example when magnetic locks are used.
2.2.2. One Way mode with locking
The selection “One way traffic with locking” is programmed to prevent the door manually opened from outside.
The door can still be opened by an inside open command.
2.2.3. Hermetically mode (vs 1.35)
To be able to use the UniDrive
TM
control box on a hermetically door construction,
Parts of the opening and closing cycle are specially adjusted to meet the requirements for a hermetically door.
With the UniDrive (and attached motor KONE Unidrive Tandem type) a WM1 hermetical door can be build up to a
total door weight of 140kg
2.2.4. Springcord (Bungy) opening
When an opening, after power failure, by battery is not allowed, a spring cord is used to open the doors.
During normal operating the tension of the spring-cord is controlled. When the tension is very low or absent, this
will result in an error.
When winter position opening is selected, the door will open every 25th cycle to the maximum opening width to be
able to test the motor control system.
2.2.5. NS, Timer mode / Porter mode
By selecting Porter-mode and activating the NS (NIGHT SWITCH) input, the door opens directly without waiting
for a signal from either Inside or Outside.
When this selection is made, NS will open the door once, even when the UniDrive
TM
is in closed position.
NS is a high priority input, and can only be overruled by HALT. Porter has also priority on Airlock function.
In timer mode, the sensors Inside and Outside are active when the input is activated, even when the PGS is
switched to Locked. When set to Timer mode, airlock function has priority (programmable) on NS input.
2.2.6. Chemist lock
Not active
2.2.7. Auto close
When “easy come in” is switched off “auto close” will become active.
When the door is manual opened and the door stops, the user timer will count down.
When the user timer has counted down to zero, the door will close on motor power.
When the door is again opened or halted manually, during closing cycle, the user timer will start again.
During closing cycle the open commands are active.
In door open position the open command are inactive
