DEVELOPING UNIT
2-G-3
2 UNIT EXPLANATION
[4] Developing Bias Control
The developing bias voltage is supplied from HV
(high voltage unit) and is controlled by PRCB
(printer control board). The output level of the
developing bias voltage is transmitted using 8-bit
serial data. This serial data includes the level
information for all outputs driven by HV, excluding
the ON/OFF control signal. Accordingly, a sepa-
rate signal line is provided to turn ON/OFF only
the developing bias.
1. Operation
Application of the developing bias voltage starts
after a lapse of the specified time from turning
ON of the START button, and stops after a lapse
of the specified time from turning OFF of PS43
(leading edge) by the last copy paper.
Developing bias output range: -300 V to -700 V
