AM Sensitivity
Use the AM Sensitivity parameter to adjust amplitude modulation sensitivity for the selected
Operator. Amplitude modulation sensitivity controls the amplitude modulation depth of the
LFO for the selected Operator. When an Operator is being used as an audio source, changes
in Operator amplitude are heard as changes in volume. When an Operator is being used as
a modulation source, changes in Operator amplitude are heard as changes in modulation
depth.
AM Sensitivity can be set to values from 0-3, where 0 applies no amplitude modulation, 1
applies the least amplitude modulation, and 3 applies the most amplitude modulation.
e AM Sensitivity parameter works in combination with the FM Layer Page Amp Mod
Depth parameter. To apply amplitude modulation to an Operator, the FM Layer Page Amp
Mod Depth parameter must be set to a value greater than 0.
Keyboard Level Scaling Parameters
Use the keyboard level scaling parameters to increase or decrease the output level of the
selected Operator as higher or lower notes are played. A left and right curve can be applied
allowing for separate scaling of high and low notes. Keyboard level scaling is useful for
emulating acoustic instruments, in which higher and lower notes often have dierent
volumes and timbres.
When an Operator is being used as an audio source, changes in Operator output level
are heard as changes in volume. When an Operator is being used as a modulation source,
changes in Operator output level are heard as changes in modulation depth.
Break Point
Use the Break Point parameter to select a keyboard key to serve as the start point for the left
and right keyboard level scaling curves.
Left Depth, Right Depth
Use the Left Depth and Right Depth parameters to set the maximum modulation depth for
the left or right keyboard level scaling curves.
Left Curve, Right Curve
Use the Left Curve and Right Curve parameters to set the left or right keyboard level scaling
curves.
e -Linear and -Exponential settings progressively reduce Operator output level as notes are
played further from the Break Point key, using a linear or exponential curve.
e +Linear and +Exponential settings progressively increase Operator output level as notes
are played further from the Break Point key, using a linear or exponential curve.
