Basic Connections
Connecting Power Supply
Beforeconnectingthepowersupply,makesureyourSP2isoff.Afterthat,connecttheplugto
theACInconnectorontherearpanel.
For your safety, place the power supply somewhere dry and out of the way . Also, to prevent
overheating,donotcoverthepowersupplywithanything.
Caution:UseonlythepowersupplythatcomeswithyourSP2.
Usingadifferentpowersupplycancauseseriousdamagetoyourinstrument!

Connecting to Your Audio System
TheSP2featuresbalancedleftandrightanalogaudiooutputs.Forthebestresults,usebalanced
cablestoconnecttobalanced,line‐levelinputsonyourmixerorsoundsystem.
It is very important to use proper type of cables. The cables should have each 1/4 inch stereo
(tip‐ring‐sleeve)plugsononeendtoconnecttotheSP2andtheotherendofcableshouldhave
thesame1/4inchstereoplugsorXLRplugs.Usingbalancedcableswillgreatlyreducesnoise.
For the best audio quality
1. Setthevolumelevelofyoursoundsystemtoitsminimum.Becautious!Notdoingsomay
causedamagetoyoursoundsystemsuchasspeakers.
2. SettheSP2’svolumeleveltoitsmaximum.
When you connect audio cables, make sure to turn down the level on your
soundsystem.
3. Adjustthevolumeofyoursoundsystemtotheappropriatelevel.
4. TheSP2hasaheadphonejackwhichduplicatesthesignalfromthemainoutputs.Plugging
into the headphone jack does not mute the other audio outputs. You can also use the
headphonejackasanunbalancedstereoline‐leveloutput.Inthiscase,justconnectastereo
cablefromtheheadphonejacktoastereoinputonanysoundsystem.
