Imaginethattheknobisallthewaytotheleftwhenyoufirstcallupthesetup.Rememberthat
theknobmustgopasttheentryvaluebeforeitbecomesactive.Inthisexampletheentryvalue
is0andthecurrentMIDIcontrollervaluesentbytheknobis0(minimum).When youmove
theknobup,the MIDI controllervalue goes to 1,andthereforehasn’t crossedtheentryvalue,
andthereforenothinghappensasyoucontinuetoturntheknob.You’dhavetoturntheknobto
therightslightly, then back to theleftsothat itgoestoMIDI Controllervalue0,then the next
timeyouturnittotheright,theknobwillbeactive.Toavoidhavingtoturntheknobright,left,
andrightagain,settheentryvaluetoaverylownumberotherthan0,suchas5.Thevalueisso
lowthatyouwon’ theartheeffect,butasyouturntheknobtotherightthefirsttime,itwillgo
pastvalue5andbecomeactive.
Tuning
TheSP2istunedto440Hz.YoucantunetheSP2upordownto‐50(Ab)~50(A#)inonecent
increments. To recall the default setting, press [+/Yes] and [/No] button simultaneously. This
can be useful if you are playing along with a recording, or playing with other acoustic
instrumentsthatcan’tbeeasilyretuned.Thedefaultvalueis0cent.

Dump
Use when you want to store all the data in memory externally as System Exclusive message.
ThedatawillbesentoveraMIDIcable.Press[Dump]buttonandthedisplaywillshow“dmp”
( Dump ) message. [+/Yes] button will start transmitting and the display will show “Snd”
(Send)message.
