SP2 Getting Started
Connecting to a Computer via USB
WithoutaMIDIinterface,theSP2canbeconnectedtoacomputerviaUSB.AsingleUSBcable
cancarryincomingand outgoingMIDIdatabetweentheSP2and a computer.Youdon’t even
needtoinstallanyadditionaldriver.
Though theSP2 can use MIDI port and USB port at the same time, it may cause
problems with running out of polyphony. So, we recommend you to use either
MIDIportorUSBportatatime.
What is USB?
USB is the abbreviation for Univ ersal Serial Bus, which is a serial bus standard to interface
devices.TheSP2support“PlugandPlay”featureofWindowsXP. 
