X Master Volume Slider
The Master VolumeSlideris loca ted on the leftmostside of the front panel. The slider adjusts
the overall volume of the SP2’s audio outputs. We recommend that you set this slider all the
waydownbeforeyouturnonyourSP2.
Y Performance / Effect 1-1
Inthisregion,youcancontrolthevolumelevelofeachlayer,effectwet/drymixorsendMIDI
controlmessagewiththefourknobsA‐D.Seepage3‐1formoreinformation.
Z Performance / Effect 1-2
In this region, you can selecteffectpresets. Also, you can use the autolayer and split feature.
The Global button provides several system parameters that affect the entire system and
initializingfunction.Seepage4‐4formoreinformation.
[ Display
Basically, the display tells you what’s going on, whether you’re playing or editing. The
information varies depending on which mode the SP2 is in. There are two buttons labeled
[+/Yes]and[‐/No]belowthedisplay.Thesebuttonshavemultiplefunctions.Forexample,when
playing rhythm patterns, pressing [+/Yes] button means “Play” and pressing [‐/No] button
means“Stop”.Or,pressingtwobuttonsatthesametimewillresetanyparameterchangemade
toTranspositionorTuningtothedefaultsetting.
\ Sound Select / Data Entry Region
TheSP2’ssoundsandeffectsareorganizedbytypeinto8categories.Thebuttonsinthisregion
areusedasSoundSelectbuttons.Theupper8buttonsareusedtoselectthedesiredcategoryof
instruments,rhythmpatternoreffects.Thelower8buttons areusedtomakeselections within
thecurrentcategory.ThesebuttonsalsoareusedtoselectmenusinGlobalmode.Dependingon
which mode the SP2 is in, these buttons can be used to enter numeric values for parameters.
[Enter] and [Cancel] buttons are used for storing setups. Pressing [Dump] and [Reset] button
