Velocity Range
VelocityRangehasthesamemeaningasVelocitySwitchinginthelayering.Withthis,youcan
useyourkey‐strikevelocity(howhardyouplay)tochangethetimbreofsounds.Forexample,
you can create a program which plays leads or pads when played normally and triggers
percussionsounds,suchasaridecymbalofdrumkitswhenplayedatagreatervelocity.
To edit Velocity Range, press [Setup] button and [Edit] button. Then, press [Velocity Range]
button.TheLEDin[VelocityRange]willflashandthedisplaywilllooklike<Figure4‐18>.

Using Sound Select Buttons as numeric buttons, enter the lowest velocity for the sound you
wanttobetriggeredwithinspecificrange.

Press[Enter]button.Now,thedisplaywillsetforthehighestvelocityinputlike<Figure4‐20>

UsingSound Select Buttons as numeric buttons again, set thehighestvelocity this time.Press
[Enter] to complete the procedure. The LED inthe [Velocity Range] button will be turned off,
andsettingthevelocityrangeisdone.
The values for Velocity Range should be from 0 to 127.
