4. Raise the bypass separation shaft as shown
in the diagram, remove the holder plate and
the bushing, and then remove the bypass
separation pulley.
* Take care not to remove the spring pin of
the gear at the rear of the bypass separation
shaft. If it is removed, refit it to its original
position.

5. Detach the connector of the bypass paper
switch and remove the wire from the three
clamps.
6. Remove the screw holding the bypass unit
cover and then the cover.

7. Remove the stop ring and bushing on the
front of the bypass paper feed shaft.
