Power pack for Leica HM500 footswitch
For safety reasons we strongly recommend that the
footswitch only be operated with the battery and the
power pack only be used for charging the battery.
However, if the battery is discharged—as may be seen
from the charge indicator and also announced by an
audible signal when the charge level falls below
approx. 10 %–and it is not possible to break off work to
charge the battery (for example, an operation is in
progress), the microscope can also be operated on line
power.

Changing interchangeable eyepieces (optional)
A
lways change the eyepieces in pairs.
After removing the eyepieces, keep them in the pack-
aging to protect them against dust and damage.
➩Rotate the eyepiece (81) a little and remove.
➩Slide interchangeable eyepiece I or II in as far as the stop.
➩Rotate towards –7 dpt until the interchangeable eyepiece
latches.
➩Rotate the interchangeable eyepiece back to the 0 dpt posi-
tion (80) or compensate for defective vision (see page 17).
Do not use excessive force.
Interchangeable eyepiece vision point
• 20x magnification
A black spot in the center of the eyepiece helps the
user consciously and more easily direct his vision to
the center of the operation field. The video picture is
shown correspondingly centered in the monitor. The
vision point is the reference point for autofocus.
Your Leica HM500 comes equipped with a vision point
eyepiece on the right-hand side as a standard feature.
