Leica MLS500 light source
Problem Cause Solution
The Leica MLS500 light source is
not producing any light
Error message: "door open"
Error message: "fan1 fail"
Error message: "fan2 fail"
Error message: "fan2 lo"
Error message: "fan1 lo"
Error message: "bulb fail"
Error message: "replace bulb" and
Leica MLS500 light source
switches off
Error message: "hot"
Check whether the power cable is
plugged into a working power socket.
Ensure that the light source is switched on.
Close and screw down the access
panel (102).
Clear vent openings.
Contact your Leica dealership.
Clear vent openings.
The Leica MLS500 light source still
works, but should be sent for
maintenance as soon as possible.
Change the lamp (see page 41).
Check the electronics.
Replace the lamp (see page 41).
Reset the running-time meter
