Toremoveanadapter,completethefollowingsteps:
Step1.Readthesafetyinformationthatbeginson“Safety”onpagevand“Installationguidelines”
onpage34.
Step2.Turnofftheserverandperipheraldevicesanddisconnectallpowercords;then,removethe
cover(see“Removingthecover”onpage195).
Step3.RemovethePCIriser-cardassemblythatcontainstheadapter(see“RemovingaPCIriser-card
assembly”onpage221).
IfyouareremovinganadapterfromPCIexpansionslot1,2,or3,removePCIriser-card
assembly1.
IfyouareremovinganadapterfromPCIexpansionslot4,5,or6,removePCIriser-card
assembly2.

Step5.Carefullygrasptheadapterbyitstopedgeoruppercorners,andpulltheadapterfromthePCI
expansionslot.
Step6.Iftheadapterisafull-lengthadapterintheupperexpansionslotofthePCIriser-cardassembly
andyoudonotintendtoreplaceitwithanotherfull-lengthadapter,removethefull-length-adapter
bracketandstoreitontheundersideofthetopofthePCIriser-cardassembly.
Step7.Ifyouareinstructedtoreturntheadapter,followallpackaginginstructions,anduseanypackaging
materialsforshippingthataresuppliedtoyou.
Removinganadapterfromthereartwohard-disk-drivekit
Usethisinformationtoremoveanadapterfromthereartwohard-disk-drivekit.
YoucanonlyinstallSeveRAID-H1110adapterinthereartwohard-disk-drivekit.
