Step1.Readthesafetyinformationthatbeginson“Safety”onpagevand“Installationguidelines”
onpage34.
Step2.Turnofftheserverandperipheraldevicesanddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables
(see“Turningofftheserver”onpage23).
Step3.MakesurethatPCIriser-cardassembliesareremovediftheyareinlongpositionandsittingonthe
airbaffle(see“RemovingaPCIriser-cardassembly”onpage221
).
Step4.Aligntheairbafflepinswiththebafflepinholesonbothsidesofthechassis;then,lowertheair
baffleintotheserver.Presstheairbaffledownuntilitissecurelyseated.
Note:ClosetheretainingcliponeachendoftheDIMMconnectorbeforeinstallingtheairbafflefor
propercooling.
