Step1.Readthesafetyinformationthatbeginson“Safety”onpagevand“Installationguidelines”

.
Step2.Turnofftheserverandperipheraldevicesanddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Step3.Removetheservercover(see“Removingthecover”onpage37).
Step4.Removethereartwohard-disk-drivekit(see“Removingthereartwohard-disk-drivekit”on
page224).
Step5.Followthecablinginstructions,ifanycomewiththeadapter.Routetheadaptercablesbefore
youinstalltheadapter.
Attention:
•Whenyouroutecables,donotblockanyconnectorsortheventilatedspacearoundanyof
thefans.
•Makesurethatcablesarenotroutedontopofcomponentsunderthereartwohard-disk-drive
