active(thepower-onLEDwillblinkslowly),andoneormorefansmightstartrunningtoprovidecoolingwhile
theserverisconnectedtopower.Youcanturnontheserverbypressingthepower-controlbutton.
Theservercanalsobeturnedoninanyofthefollowingways:
•Ifapowerfailureoccurswhiletheserveristurnedon,theserverwillrestartautomaticallywhenpower
isrestored.
•IfyouroperatingsystemsupportstheWakeonLANfeature,theWakeonLANfeaturecanturnonthe
server.

1.When4GBormoreofmemory(physicalorlogical)isinstalled,somememoryisreservedforvarious
systemresourcesandisunavailabletotheoperatingsystem.Theamountofmemorythatisreserved
forsystemresourcesdependsontheoperatingsystem,theconfigurationoftheserver,andthe
configuredPCIoptions.
2.Ethernet1connectorsupportsWakeonLANfeature.
3.Whenyouturnontheserverwiththegraphicaladaptersinstalled,theLenovologodisplaysonthe
screenafterapproximately3minutes.Thisisnormaloperationwhilethesystemloads.
Turningofftheserver
Usethisinformationfordetailsaboutturningofftheserver.
Whenyouturnofftheserverandleaveitconnectedtopower,theservercanrespondtorequeststothe
serviceprocessor,suchasaremoterequesttoturnontheserver.Whiletheserverremainsconnectedto
power,oneormorefansmightcontinuetorun.Toremoveallpowerfromtheserver,youmustdisconnectit
fromthepowersource.
Someoperatingsystemsrequireanorderlyshutdownbeforeyouturnofftheserver.Seeyour
operating-systemdocumentationforinformationaboutshuttingdowntheoperatingsystem.

theelectricalcurrentsuppliedtothedevice.Thedevicealsomighthavemorethanonepower
