Remove the 7mm drive backplane
Use this information to remove the 7mm drive backplane.

Procedure
Note: Depending on the specific type, your backplane might look different from the illustration in this topic.
Step 1. Prepare your server.
a. Remove the top cover. See Remove the top cover.
b. Remove all the installed drives and fillers (if any) from the drive bays. See Remove a hot-swap
drive.
c. Record the cable connections for 7mm drives and then disconnect all cables from the
backplanes. For information about the backplane cable routing, see 7mm drive backplane

d. Remove the 7mm drive assembly (if any) from the rear chassis. See Remove the hot-swap rear
drive assembly.
