Use this procedure to remove and replace the Paper Level Sensors for Trays 1 and 2.
Removal
1. Remove the Paper Tray associated with the Paper Level Sensor you are going to
remove.
2. Squeeze the Sensor latches and remove the Paper Level Sensor from the frame.
3. Disconnect the P/J from the Sensor.
Replacement
1. Reconnect the P/J to the Sensor.
2. Position the Sensor with the arms of the Sensor facing the Feed Assembly Actuator.
3. Reinstall the Paper Level Sensor into the slot in the frame by first inserting the front
latch of the Sensor through the front opening in the frame.
4. Press in on the rear latch and insert it into the rear opening.
5. Release the rear latch and the Sensor snaps into place.
6. Release the Actuator and make sure it moves freely between the arms of the
Sensor.
7. Reconnect the P/J to the Sensor.
8. Reinstall the Paper Tray.
