e. Clean area around the plastic cap on access
hole (B). Remove the cap.
f. Insert the tool (C) into the flywheel housing until
it engages the ring gear.
g. Attach a 1/2 inch square drive ratchet or breaker
bar and turn.
h. Remove barring tool and clean oil from around
access hole.
i. Clean plastic cap and reinstall in hole with
silicone sealant.
j. Reconnect the battery.
k. Close hood and move maintenance platform
back to working position.
7.9.3 Oil Level
Check engine oil level frequently and watch for
any signs of leakage.
NOTE
During the break-in period, a higher than
usual oil consumption should be
considered normal.
Check the oil level as follows:
a. Stop the engine and remove the key. Wait
about 5 minutes.
b. Open engine compartment hood to lowest
position.
c. Remove dipstick by turning it counterclockwise
to unlock and remove.
d. Wipe clean, reinsert in engine and remove.
e. Oil level should be between LOW and HIGH
marks.
f. Replace dipstick.
